It was Wednesday February 17, 2010, but it was also Marianne St.Gelais birthday AND she won second place in the women's 500-meter short-track speed skating final at the 2010 Olympics! What an awesome gift! This is a birthday she will never forget. She was really happy to have won her medal, especially when it means she's almost as good as the current world and Olympic record holder, now that is not something to be disappointed about. Event her competitors are proud of her. Her boyfriend, who holds the world record in the 1,000-metre speed skating, ( from Levis, Quebec) bought her some Flowers and some clothes but he is going to have to work really hard next year to top off this gift that she won herself!
