I don't know if anyone in the world would be able to pull off an ice skating performance as good as Joannie Rochette did, after losing a parent. She performed only two days after her mother's death, i wouldn't be able to do that for sure, but she is strong and pulled it off with grace and won the silver medal. The crowd seemed to love her even more every time she'd land a flip or a jump, roaring out their excitement. When her performance ended, she burst into tears, bending over with her hands on her legs. When she came back up sobbing, she went into her coach's arms. Every body from friends to rivals were there to offer support and there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd . No matter what nation you are, when you watch her performance and know what kind of an emotional roller coaster she is on, your heart goes out to her and what ever feelings you had about her, it quickly changes.
